I was reading A Course in Miracles in my twenties. As I was going through a rough patch, I opened the book to a page that read there is only safety in love.
"Love is your safety." I read.
Safety in love? Safety to me at that time meant having enough income to pay bills and get groceries for my littles.
However, this spiritual truth began to swirl around in my curious mind. What if safety was found in love?
What I have since learned, twenty-plus years later, is this…
Love is the foundation for all great things and all human virtue. Love is the seed for respect, compassion, grace, gratitude, confidence, faith, forgiveness, and joy. Love is also a path to healing and mending our lives from the inside out.
Love is a positive affinity and is the one possibility within us we can activate anytime we need it.
Love has the ability to extend and potentiate any area of our life. Our role as a leader, parent, partner, breadwinner – you name it.
We often confuse love with weakness and mushy romance novels in our society. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Love is the strongest state of being we can embody.
Love does not follow the rules of the material world. In the material world, what you share, you divide. Love, when shared, is an energy that doubles.
Where in your life could you use a little more love? Is there a leadership role you are in, a challenge with a friend, or are you living with fear, stress, depression, or anxiety?
Whatever the situation, allowing love to lead the way can elevate you into a better position.
Here is the rest of the teaching:
"Love is your safety. Fear does not exist [as it is a state of mind]. Identify with love, and you are safe. Identify with love, and you are home. Identify with love, and find your Self."
