What does Integrative Intelligence teach us about healing the political divide and the shooting of Charlie Kirk?

We are all seeing so much violence and division in the United States. This month alone, the US experienced an assassination, public lynchings, and multiple public mass shootings.

Just last week, the republican conservative activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated in public in front of kids, families, and students. This act, among many other violent acts this month, is a reflection of a nation divided, conflicted, and afflicted. People are feeling so desperate that they snap.

The good news is that Integrative Intelligence teaches us that the truth of what is happening, does not define the truth of what is possible. Unless we allow it to that is.

How can we heal this level of division?

What wisdom can exist against so much societal turmoil?

For those ready to rise above, let's explore some of the bigger truths that allow us to operate from a bigger picture perspective and to be a part of the solution.

What should we focus on first?

To heal the external division we are experiencing on the outside, we must first heal the divide that exists on the inside.

To heal the inner divide, naturally cures the outer. Let’s take a closer look.

To heal anything requires us to move from a state of imbalance to balance. As we do this we are then restoring access to the possibility of healing.  This is true physically, emotionally, relationally, spiritually, and intellectually. Balance is required for new potentials to be accessed. Consider:
  • Physical healing restores the balance of systems required for health.
  • Emotional healing restores our inner equilibrium.
  • Relational healing restores the balance of a healthy, loving connection.
  • Spiritual healing restores our inner balance and connection to that which is Greater.
  • Intellectual healing restores a balance of rational thought and responsiveness.
  • Social healing restores a balance of healthy community, interdependence, and goodwill.

Consider... A wound or a divide are both states of imbalance. Imblances come with consequences.

The good news is that all imbalances come with the possibility of restoration.

Will we choose restoration? Will we foster integration? Will we elevate our human potential through integrational intelligence?

The good news is that we can.

The more a person lives in any extreme imbalance, the quicker they move into an internal box. Judgment forms over their heart, dividing them from the actual truth that resides somewhere in the middle.

Before we know it, instead of relating and connecting, we are bouncing off of each other’s soap boxes. We are kicking people off of our Facebook accounts, we are scoffing behind people’s backs, we are blaming the “other”, we are… physically shooting each other to protect our projected soap boxes.

To heal the divide, we must learn to release the judgment boxes we’ve ended up in and curate discernment, to curate wisdom, and to curate openness to invite healing.

If we are to heal, we must learn to release being 100% right, and instead invite curiosity. What happens when we start asking why? If someone has an extreme opposite opinion, can I ask myself or them why and be open? Where are they hurting? What happened to them that led them to believe what they believe?

If we are to heal, we must face what is real. We must learn to release projections and cultivate new connections.

We have an opportunity before us to cultivate a thirst for truth, the truth, and nothing but the truth, to rid us of any false gods and to rise above.
"Nowhere in our education are we taught about adult behavior - what it takes to be balanced,
spirit-connected, emotionally safe and solid, to make mistakes and learn from them, to understand our subconscious patterning that keeps us stuck, to raise happy and healthy children, to continue
to grow consciously, to deepen our connection to Source, to leave a small footprint on the Earth,
to leave a large legacy to Life.
"
