Dear Future Coach,
In 1997, I began a journey of listening to what was calling me. I was tired of working for bosses who mismanaged and added to work stress. I desired to leave a positive footprint wherever I worked. I desired to take roadblocks and turn them into stepping stones.
I decided I felt called to be a part of the solution within a world that seemed to keep getting crazier by the minute. Can you relate?
In my early twenties, I began volunteering as a facilitator for Interpeace, Inc., a non-profit helping at-risk teens, and single-parents, gain much needed life skills to lead a happy and healthy life. This was no easy task. It was a nice start, but I didn't really know what I was doing to be honest. I needed an education. Good intentions could only get me so far.
Then around 2004, I stumbled across this interesting thing called "coaching". I thought, "Oh perfect. I'll take this coaching class so I can start counseling people better in the groups until I'm fully credentialed to do actual counseling and therapy privately." So I called and signed up for my first class.
Little did I know... coaching had zero counseling in it! What?! I was naturally quite shocked.
There is a spiritual teaching: Give someone a fish, they are fed for a day. Teach someone to fish, and they are fed for a lifetime. Or, teach them to build a boat, and they will travel farther to help even more people.
This teaching is at the heart of coaching. Coaching is a process that teaches a person to go within to develop, locate their truth, and lead a powerful life once locating their truth.
This process was the most unique and amazing processes I'd come across. This was saying a lot because since the age of 15, I began to take a deeper dive into studying Western philosophy, psychology, science, quantum mechanics, Eastern religions, Christianity, spirituality, and self-development.
Coaching was the first calling that was the complete life game changer. It allowed me to integrate all of my previous studies, research, theories, and experiences into helping my clients excel. I had "caught the coaching bug" as they say in the coaching world.
Coaching taught me three important life elements:
1) Everyone has a unique success formula within them. A good coach helps you excavate it!
2) Each step of success comes with new blind spots. A good coach helps you eliminate them.
3) To truly empower someone, you must first put them in touch with their own truth, purpose, vision, wisdom and power. A good coach leaves you feeling empowered and inspired from what you discover is within YOU.

I often get asked, "When there are so many coaching approaches out there, why integrative?"
Life is like a mosaic. It sometimes feels broken, confusing, or stuck. Yet, when viewed as a whole, it can become an amazing work of art.
The Integrative frameworks take coaching to a whole new level. Whether you are coaching a public figure, a teenager, or a team of executives, a whole person is in front of you. When you learn how to respond to and fully empower the whole person and all of their latent human potentials, you will feel the meaning of true empowerment.
Imagine, life optimized:
Being trained in Integrative Coaching is perfect for successful professionals who are ready to add deeper meaning into the work they do by growing a private clientele or utilizing the integrative lens to empower a company culture.

- Relationally: Relationship to self and others, personally and professionally.
- Somatically: Physical health and well-being, habits, lifestyle choices.
- Emotionally: Understand how emotion can facilitate deeper understandings.
- Cognitively: When the intellect is put in allegiance to core values, life becomes enriched.
- Motivationally: Life purpose, contribution, heeding a calling.
- Energetically: What energy am I putting out to others? Do I choose my energy wisely?
- Spiritually: What is my relationship to that which is bigger than me?
- Integratively: Am I fully embodying all aspects of Self? Is my highest-self informing my highest good?
